How do we overcome the power of sin?

Stop feeding sin and feast on God. (Isaiah 55:1-2)

 

How do we overcome the power of sin?

The most effective way to overcome sin is to find greater _____ in God.

Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord.   Philippians 3:8

 

How practically do you stop feeding sin and pursue being satisfied in God?

If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.                                                                                              Colossians 3:1-5

What are the “things above”? The Kingdom of Heaven.

 

So then, how do we “seek the things above?”

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. 17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Colossians 3:16–17

How practically do you stop feeding sin and pursue being satisfied in God?
