Kasey and Dawn met at UCSD in 1997 and have been married since April 1st, 2001. On April 1st, 1999, while sophomores in college, they had an encounter with the Lord in which they clearly heard God speak, while apart from one another. God said the same thing to each of them: “You will be a team for my glory.” This call into full-time ministry came on the heels of personal revival in which they each experienced what it meant to “taste and see the Lord is Good (Psalm 34:8)” in ways that were profoundly personal and powerful. While the two and a half decades since have been full of many challenges and trials, it has also been an abundant, life-giving adventure with Jesus. They are passionate about taking the deep things of God’s word and bringing them into a “Holy collision” with everyday life. They live with big faith that Jesus really meant it when He said that God’s will is: “As it is in heaven, so also on earth.” Together they serve this church as catalysts to empower followers of Jesus go deep in authentic relationship with God. Their favorite partnership is in raising their three sons to become men know and love Jesus. Kasey graduated from Fuller Seminary with two Master’s Degrees and has written two books: Building Your Abundant Life: A Deep Exploration and Passionate Application of Jesus’s Sermon on the Mount and Learning to Pray Like Jesus Taught Us: Practicing the Lord’s Prayer. Together, they lead with a united heart cry: May His Kingdom come!

Married for over 20 years and part of Elevation for 15, Micah and Alicia bring a wealth of life (Dean at MSJC and Special Ed. teacher) and ministry experience to their role as Pastors of Mission. They served on staff as the Elevation Youth Pastors for 5 years, as well Life Group Leaders, prayer team warriors and outside the church with Black Sheep Motorcycle Ministry for Christ. They have settled on a long-term calling to lead Breath of Heaven Children’s Ministries in Lusaka, Zambia. They first spent time on the ground at Breath of Heaven almost 20 years and God captured their hearts with his heart: “Father of the fatherless and protector of widows is God in his holy habitation” (Psalm 68:5). As they live out God’s heart on the mission field, they also effectively train others to do the same. They have led 4 teams from Elevation to Breath of Heaven in Zambia, as well as led on our trips to Mexico, and led many local outreach endeavors and community service projects. We count it a great privilege to partner with them in support of leading Breath of Heaven, as they help equip us to live mission-minded in whatever context God is calling each of us to advance His Kingdom.
